Auden is now almost 11 weeks old and is growing so fast. At her 2 month check-up she was up to 14lbs 5 oz and 23 1/2 inches long. She is over the 90th percentile for her age on both height and weight. She definitely has her dad's dark eyes and dark hair. She is a beautiful little girl and we are totally amazed by her.

Retro Caleb

Just trying to remember what Caleb looked like as a newborn. Do they look like siblings?

Auden's arrival

Auden Colleen Hummel joined the family on November 28, 2008 at 12:12 PM. She weighed in at 8lbs 12oz, almost a full pound heavier than Caleb, and was 22 inches long. We thought she would arrive on Thanksgiving day but my doctor must have had very important Thanksgiving plans and decided to send me home 5 cm dilated and contracting every 5-7 minutes. I promised that I would deliver fast if he would just break my water, but he wasn't going along with my plan. So we made our way back to the hospital later that night. They finally did keep me and after the doctor did make his way to the hospital and break my water I was ready to have her within half an hour. However, my doctor once again had to be at home so we had to wait 45 minutes until he was able to get back tot he hospital and deliver her. Two pushes and she was out. We were quite surprised when she was born, not by the gender this time but by the color of her hair. I guess we had just assumed our kids would all be little red heads like Caleb. She is a wonderful easy going baby and is already sleeping 5-7 hours straight at night!

Caleb on Halloween...and his cow....Stokely

Caleb loves tractors!

Stokely was less enthused!

An overview

Josh and I have been married now for over 3 years....wow time goes fast. We live in Winchester where we both grew up and we are now raising our children. I am the school nurse for the 5 schools here in town. I really enjoy my job and do not miss the 12 hour night shifts at the hospital. Three day weekends and 2 hr. delays are just one of the many perks to my job. Josh is doing paintless dent removal where he basically works out of his vehicle and goes to various car lots and body shops to remove all sorts of damage from vehicles...he even took a dent out of our neighbors stove once. He really enjoys his job and I think it is safe to say he will never use his teaching degree. We had our first son, Caleb James, on Valentine's day 07. Caleb is all boy and keeps us busy but also makes us laugh like crazy daily. Auden Colleen joined in the fun on November 28th and is a wonderful addition! Our kids are growing up with their grandparents close by to love on them daily. It is a simple but beautiful life we have!
